Five generations. Made by hand. Made with pride.
Flower Fairy is a Mexican family that has worked with flowers for five generations. The craft started long before the studio existed: flowers grown, cut, bunched and sold by hand, taught from one generation to the next in the only way it can be taught — standing next to someone who already knows how.
That knowledge travelled with the family to Miami, where the work became a studio. Forty years later the same family still runs it. What changed is scale: from bouquets and neighborhood celebrations to suspended floral ceilings, flower walls, stages and full brand activations for restaurants, hotels, festivals and some of the largest brands in America.
What did not change is who does the work. We design in-house, build in-house from our Kendall workshop, and travel with our own crew to install and strike. There is no subcontracted build and no anonymous hand-off — the people who draw your room are the people who hang the last stem in it.
Five generations is also a standard, not a slogan. It means we treat a stem the way a grower does, we plan the load-out before the load-in, and we would rather turn down a date than send out an installation the family would not want its name on.
The family worked with flowers in Mexico — growing, cutting and selling by hand. Everything the studio does today still traces back to that hands-on relationship with the material.
Arranging was passed on inside the family: proportion, conditioning, how a flower behaves in heat and how long it will hold. Learned at a table, not from a manual.
The family brought the trade to Miami and began serving the city's celebrations. The work stayed personal — direct with clients, made to order, delivered by the family itself.
Demand moved from arrangements to architecture: ceilings, walls, arches and stages. The studio added fabrication, rigging know-how and its own install crew, keeping the whole build in-house.
Today the fifth generation designs floral installations and brand activations for restaurants, hotels, concerts and global brands, installing across the United States, Canada and Spain from the Kendall workshop.
We're still the ones who answer the phone, walk your space with you, and stay until the last stem sits right — whether it's one entrance arch or a stadium takeover. Read the full family story.
